Eugenie Piozin-Belloir
Piano & French
Hi, I’m Eugenie. I grew up in France and I have lived with my family in the Tasman region since 2008. I have wanted to start a school of music in Motueka for many years. In 2012, I created the Motueka music network which was a database of music teachers and performers in the region.
Today I am very excited to have created MusicLingo: an itinerant and local school of music and
Languages!
I teach piano from beginner to intermediate levels offering theory and technical exercises, reading sheet music and playing songs by ear and memory. My style of teaching is student focussed connecting with each student to match their learning style/needs.
I teach French as a first language guiding students to learn how to read, write and understand grammar. As a second language, I teach French through stories and songs to learn everyday phrases and vocabulary.
I can also offer help with NCEA exams and crash courses for people travelling to French speaking countries.
Miriam Fraser

Hi, I’m Miriam Fraser, and I’m excited to welcome new students into the world of music! I live in the beautiful town of Motueka with my husband, Cam, and our two boys, who are 5 and 7 years old, we also share our home with a dog and a bird.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Music, with a major in Piano and a minor in Vocals, along with a Grade 7 piano certificate. I have had the privilege of performing vocally and in bands, and I’ve taught music in schools and community groups. Throughout my teaching journey, I’ve been passionate about helping students develop their musical abilities and creativity.
From classical and contemporary music to vocal training and melody creation, I love sharing the joy of music with my students. Whether it’s working on memory pieces, finger exercises, or fostering vocal expression and improvisation, I’m dedicated to making music an enjoyable and meaningful experience. My favourite genres include jazz, classical, and contemporary pop – and I enjoy blending these influences to bring a diverse and exciting approach to lessons.
I look forward to helping you discover and nurture your own musical talents!
